DESCRIPTION:I am writing to inform you about an exciting Engage Day that we have planned for our new Year 3 and 4 pupils as part of their topic\, Emperors and Empires. This engaging and immersive day will take place in school on Thursday 4th June 2026. \nWe will be welcoming a special visitor who will lead an exciting workshop to enhance the children’s knowledge and understanding of the Romans. This will be a fantastic opportunity for pupils to bring their learning to life. \nTo help cover the cost of this workshop\, we kindly ask for a contribution of £2 per child. Unfortunately\, if we do not receive enough contributions to cover the cost\, we may have to cancel the visitor. \nWe are also inviting the children to come dressed in Roman-inspired outfits if they would like to. Some example photos are included below for inspiration; however\, dressing up is completely optional for all pupils. \nWe are looking forward to a fantastic day of discovery\, learning and fun.

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to let you know that\, following the completion of the Year 6 SATs\, the\nchildren will be going to Ropner Park\, on Friday 15th May\, for a well-earned celebratory\nvisit. This will be a lovely opportunity for them to relax\, enjoy some fresh air and spend\ntime together as a year group\, after working so hard.\nOn Friday 15th May\, the children can come to school wearing their PE kit. As we will be\nwalking to and from the park\, please make sure they have suitable footwear for walking\ncomfortably.\nThe weather can be changeable\, we kindly ask that children bring a sun hat and sun\ncream on warm days\, or a coat if the weather is cooler or unsettled.\nAs we will be out of school all day\, the children will need to bring a packed lunch. Please\nensure that packed lunches do not contain any nuts. We also ask that children do not\nbring fizzy drinks or glass bottles\, for safety reasons.\nWe are very much looking forward to sharing this enjoyable outing with the children\, and\nwe hope it will be a happy way to celebrate all their hard work.
