We are delighted to have appointed this years Head Boy and Head Girl, along with their Deputies and Prefects. We consider the roles to be of great importance and want the chosen children to act as ambassadors for our school as well as role models for their peers and our younger pupils.
Year 6 children were asked to put themselves forward and have gone through a rigorous selection process involving pupils, staff and an informal interview with myself and Mrs Hawes, our Deputy Head.
I am pleased to announce the following appointments:
I am very proud to be the new Head Boy at Hartburn Primary School. I consider myself a kind, caring and helpful member of Year 6. I am a team player and enjoy many different sports inside and outside of school, and it is an honour to represent our school in many sporting challenges and competitions. This role has built up confidence in me and I am looking forward to helping and supporting others when needed.
It is great privilege to be awarded the role of Head Girl. I feel this position has already helped me to develop my leadership skills, grow in confidence and has given me the opportunity to meet many new people and make new friends.
I am looking forward to the new challenges and experiences I will face in the coming year and I hope to organise lots of fundraising events and raise money for many different charities.
Deputy Head Boy
I feel extremely fortunate to be Deputy Head Boy. I truly support Hartburn’s vision for education and feel I am an excellent role model. I like to think that I am a good friend to all and like to make everyone feel welcome and supported. In the future I am excited to put forward lots of new and exciting ideas to make our school a better place.
Deputy Head Girl
I am honoured to be Deputy Head Girl and look forward to developing my confidence in this role. I am kind, helpful and trustworthy friend. I believe I am a good role model and hope to set a good example to others.
PE and sport are a great passion of mine and I hope to raise money towards some new equipment for our school.
During the year they will be called upon to represent and promote our school and will meet and greet important visitors, as well as being involved in a wide range of other important and enjoyable duties such as our fundraising events, assemblies, concerts and working closely with the School Council.
We hope that the privilege of being chosen for roles within our Student Leadership team will help to drive their ambitions and make them leaders of the future.
