Hartburn Wraparound Provision
Wrap around care is defined as childcare which ‘wraps around’ the conventional school day. At Hartburn, we recognise the many benefits to wrap around care for children, families and schools.
These include:
- Enabling parents to work/study
- Supporting vulnerable pupils
- Offering enriching and stimulating activities for children
- Supporting a soft entry to the school day therefore improving attendance
Hartburn believes in creating a stimulating environment for all children in our care and will support parents to access affordable and convenient wrap around child care which is child-centred and appropriate to the needs of our families.
Opening/closing times:
Breakfast club is open from 7.30am.
After school club is available until 6.00pm. After school club also includes healthy food options such as wraps/sandwiches.
Fees:
The standard daily fee for attending breakfast club is £5, regardless of drop off time.
The standard daily fee for attending after school club is £12, regardless of collection time.
All fees must be paid weekly via IRIS Plus Pay or by card at the School Office
Childcare vouchers are accepted by both breakfast and after school clubs – please contact the office for further details.

Drop off/collection arrangements:
Before school – Parents will drop their child at breakfast club via the dining hall doors. Attendance is recorded on a register. Children spend time within the breakfast club provision and are then escorted to their classrooms ready for the start of the academic day.
After school – Members of after school club staff collect the children who are attending from their classrooms based on their daily register. Parents collect children from the dining hall doors and sign their child out.
Keeping parents updated:
After school club regularly post pictures of activities which the children complete on our Facebook page.
Parents are welcome to visit the facilities before their child attends.
Parents are welcome to exchange information regarding their child at collection/drop off. Any information is passed to the relevant class teachers.
